Yesterday, Carlton class in Year 2 had their STEM Drop Down Day and they carried out three experiments. They learned about magnets, volcanoes and shadows.
From exploring CO2 explosions in fizzy drinks to shadow puppets and learning about magnets - the STEM day I Chrysler class could not have been more exciting!
Year 2 Cooper class had a fantastic STEM day yesterday. We made shadow puppets using torches, explored magnetic and non-magnetic items and used fizzy drinks and mentos to make a volcano! We then made posters to show our experiments.
Year 1 Austin had a fantastic STEM Day! The children made delicious ice cream and created their own erupting volcanoes. They really enjoyed experimenting with these and exploring the science behind their creations! 🧪🌋🍨
STEM day fun in Year 1 Allard! We explored science through hands-on learning by creating our own erupting volcanoes, making delicious ice cream, and launching rockets into the sky. A fantastic day full of curiosity, creativity, and discovery! 🚀🌋🍦🔬✨ #STEMDay
As part of our schools STEM Day, Arden class made ice cream by putting milk, sugar and vanilla essence together in a bag, while shaking the bag next to ice cubes and salt - it was delicious! They also made their own rockets, and volcanoes and created a chemical reaction.
In Arden class today we made our own ice cream by putting milk, sugar and vanilla essence together in a bag, while shaking the bag next to ice cubes. We also made our own rockets, and volcanoes.
A brilliant #EarthDay ! Year 2 learned about environment and different habitats; later we explored renewable energy, upcycling and creatures that call the Earth their home. Thank you to the #RoyalInstituteofEngineering for the kit and ideas on greener planet investigations.
In Year 1 Austin class, we celebrated @worldearthday by reading the story `Here we are` by @oliverjeffers. We created our own earth art drawing different types of animals that live on our wonderful planet.
