I joined the Board of Governors in October 2022 as a Co-opted Governor. A chartered public finance accountant, I have 20 years of experience working for Coventry City Council in various finance related roles and I’m currently Head of Revenues and Benefits at the local authority.

I have three children who have enjoyed their progression through Coventry Primary schools. It’s a real privilege for me to be able join the Board of Governors at Aldermoor Farm and work with some fantastic education professionals and passionate fellow Board Members as we focus our collective energies on ensuring that the amazing young people at this school get the best possible academic and social development.

Vice Chair:

Charlotte Abell

I was elected as a co-opted governor at Aldermoor Farm Primary School in September 2021. I joined the governing board because I grew up in the midlands and I want to help create opportunities for young people in the area.

My day job is as a solicitor so I have experience of governance and compliance in a non-education setting. I live and work in London so I am a remote governor, but enjoy coming up to visit Aldermoor Farm as much as I can.

In my spare time you’d find me running, open water swimming or reading. I also love learning new languages. I speak Spanish, French and a little bit of German.

Safeguarding and Attendance Governor:

Aysha Patel

I joined the Governing Board in 2022 as a Local Authority Governor, bringing over 10 years of experience in the education sector. The majority of my career has been working in Special Education Needs. My current role is working as the School Business Manager at a special needs school in Coventry, where I manage the health and safety, welfare, HR and finances of the school, ensuring smooth operations and a supportive environment for both pupil and staff. I am also a Senior Mental Health Lead for the school.

At Aldermoor Farm I hold the role of Safeguarding Governor, where I am responsible for ensuring that safeguarding policies and procedures locally and nationally are followed to protect the welfare of all pupils. I work closely with staff to strategically monitor the school’s safeguarding practices, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and ensuring the school is providing a safe environment for all pupils and staff. It’s a pleasure to be part of the Governing Board.

Local Authority Governor:

I am pleased to be a Governor at Aldermoor Farm working with Governor colleagues for the benefit of the children attending the school, We are a relatively new Governing Body with many skills held between us. I believe that we are working closely together with the Headteacher to ensure young people at the school have the best start in life on their way to success in all that they choose to do.

I am a local Ward Councillor for Lower Stoke and I see that Aldermoor Farm Primary plays an important role within the many communities of the area.
